Beings of light we usually don't see but are all around us

Home

Welcome to a place on the net that is nowhere until you stop and focus on it….

What you will discover if you choose to look around, is a place that is filled with spiritual ideals, mindfulness lessons and particularly studies on how our thoughts effect our lives, how to find our true selves and how to live a fuller more meaningful life.

This website is dedicated to raising consciousness one thought at a time. And with those thoughts spreading peace across this beautiful planet we call earth.

"Peace starts with us, one thought at a time"

You will also find spiritual art, poetry and inspirational quotes. It is my hope that you leave this website with at least one positive new approach to practice as you live your life.

Most (not all) of the information on this website are from antique journals,  books and essays that were published in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. And mostly from authors that were considered part of the New Thought Movement , The Theosophical Society , Spiritual thinkers, Mystics and Poets.

Blessed is he who lives in the sunshine of Self-knowledge, having risen above the clouds of fear and selfishness which gather in the night of ignorance.

I dont’t think anything is new, just thoughts reimagined and repackaged.

As you read you will notice many of the authors were inspired from ancient teachings of older manuscripts as well as teachers for their travels around the globe, particularly India and of course through their meditations.

Many of these books are sprinkled with the words “Lord” , “God”, evil and sin. If you are a spiritual person and not religious (like myself), then allow yourself to change the words to something that fits with your current mindset. Find the seeds of truth within the written words that you resonate with.

When you allow yourself to get past the sometimes dated language, you will discover some amazing truths that are pertinent to your daily life now.

If you go online or peruse bookstores in the self-help or new thought / spiritual studies sections you will see a ton of books about mindfulness, meditation, positive thinking, right attitude, creating abundance, law of attraction and the mind body connection.

“If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.”

What you will discover for yourself is that much of the currant information  about law of attraction, the mind body connection, meditation and mindfulness is simply repackage in our currant language.

What’s really cool is, much of the ideas in these antique “new thought” books are now finding validity and integration within some scientific and medical fields from authors and great thinkers many of which were born more then a hundred years ago.

It’s hard to believe that less then a fifty years ago, meditation was considered “out there” .  Yet many hospitals in the west now teach patiences and caregivers the importance of meditation.

I have to admit that I laughed out loud on a few of the books that approach the subject of hypnosis. Being a certified  (non practicing) Hypnotherapist and NLP practitioners, It’s strange to read books where the author is trying to soothe the reader about Hypnosis.

In my opinion, Hypnosis is one of the best ways to teach yourself to relax and fully experience deep meditation. From my perspective, hypnosis is so commonplace in our everyday lives. We just don't label some of what we do as hypnosis. I'll talk more of that subject on my blog  later.

I’m getting off the subject. My point is, So much of our mind set has changed. in the way we view the world. Clearly lots of us are open minded and very much want to learn more about the big questions.

“Who Am I ?” “Where Do I Come From?” “What’s My Purpose?”

Hopefully as you explore this website you will find some very interesting ideas to think about and propel you forward on your path.

These books and their authors deserve to be rediscovered and honored.

So I have created a magazine style blog of these books and essays for easier accessibility and reading.

With the exception of editors notes, introductions and old advertising that was prevalent, the books are unabridged and free to read here.

Some of these books have brought me to tears as I have read these and pondered their meaning.  I so hope you will have that experience here as well.

not all, of these books are in the public domain. I want to thank the communities, libraries and people around our planet that painstakingly preserve, digitize and share these books for all of us to rediscover. These books are truly part of our heritage.

If you find the information on this site interesting, please share it with others and spread the positive energy and hope that they inspire.

I am sharing these writing with the hope that raising our consciousness individually raises our awareness on a global scale.

I love the quote

” A high tide raises all boats”

"That light which I see in the sun is in me; and that which is in me is in the sun. I am the Lord of the body, senses and mind, and I am also the Lord of all phenomenal objects.""I am the light of the universe, through me shine the sun, moon, stars and the lightening. I have realized my true Self. I have realized the true Self of the universe and therefore I am one with the Absolute."

Swami Abhendanada

I am adding books almost every day , so visit from time to time and see what’s new.

Thank you and Happy journey

Peace, Margaret
